Speakers:

๐ŸŒย "APOLLO IN CHIAROSCURO"
Dr. Alexander Gabetta, Jungian psychologist, Imaginalis - dialogues between imaginal psychology, sciences, arts and cultures

No Olympic deity represents the ideals of harmony and formal perfection like Apollo, the god of music, poetry and medicine. For Winckelmann the very idea of โ€‹โ€‹Greek classicism is exalted in the Apollonian for its tension towards the sublime, the purity and elevation that separates the divine from the human. But Apollo is also the terrifying and vindictive divinity that emerges from putrescence and sows pestilences, for which the god of beauty and brightness seems to be combined with a series of dark paradoxes, corroborating Goethe's adage: "where there is a lot of light, the shadow is blacker โ€.

(I.e.ย "THE BOW AND THE LYRE: Hyperborean shamanism and Apollonian ecstasy"
Dr. Marco Maculotti, director and editor of AXIS mundi

From the hyperborean shamanism practiced by iatromancers and reconstructed by Culianu up to the philosophical analysis by Giorgio Colli, Apollo appears at the same time in all his duplicity and harmony, mysterium tremendum and unsolvable enigma, bearer of ecstasy by means of the lyre and of death by means of the arch.
