What role do psychedelics play in the development of human consciousness? Are there any connections between the occult world and psychedelics? What is psychonautics and what principles is it based on?
Psychedelics in the last century have been the subject of great controversy from a media and then a social point of view. It is only thanks to some great pioneers of anthropological and ethnobotanical research, such as Mircea Eliade and Terence McKenna, and later to other researchers in the scientific field such as Albert Hoffmann and Eric Strassman, that the West begins to see these substances in a light. different.

Starting from this assumption we will explore the worlds of entheogenic substances, trying to relate them to that afterlife populated by beings and entities that the magicians and shamans of all ages speak of. To face this journey into the world of psychedelics, we decided to involve national and international guests, passing from Mexican and Andean shamanic rituals, to modern Western approaches developed by pioneers of psychonautics such as Peter J. Carrol and other exponents of Chaos Magic. Julian Vayne will guide us in this last topic, with over 30 years of experience in the field of Chaos Magic and studies on entheogenic substances.

BROWN TANCREDI
PhD student at Masaryk University in Brno in the Czech Republic. He is the founder of RASWE Research Association for the Study of Western Esotericism dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research in the field of Western esotericism. The fields of study are mainly on ceremonial magic, meditation, psychonautics and altered states of consciousness.
MARCO MACULOTTI
Publisher and writer, he was born in Cremona in 1988 and graduated in Milan. He is the founder and director of "AXIS mundi" (www.axismundi.blog): online magazine of culture, anthropology of the sacred, history of religions, esotericism, folklore, literature of the fantastic. He has published in various journals of traditional and literary studies, both paper (βAtriumβ, βArthosβ, βLovecraftian Studiesβ, βZothiqueβ, βDimensione Cosmicaβ, βIl Corriere Metapoliticoβ), and digital. GIORGIA GAIA
Italian independent researcher with a Masters in Cultural and Social Anthropology and a Masters in Theology (Western Esotericism) from the University of Amsterdam. For more than a decade she has been part of the international underground scene as an event organizer and artist. Her academic research has focused on esoteric communities, psychonaut ethnographies and festival cultures. Following a period spent in the esoteric community of Damanhur in Northern Italy, you have published the anthropological research 'Damanhur, the Ecology of Spirit'. Later thanks to several years of participant observation and interviews she wrote what is now considered the most complete history of Changa, entitled 'Changa's Alchemy'. She has participated as a speaker at various international psychedelic conferences such as Breaking Convention in London, Beyond Psychedelics in Prague and Altered Berlin. She has always been attracted to the esoteric arts, she teaches the art of tarot reading and founded the international Occulture conference and the Villaggio Della Luna association which promotes esoteric and ecological study and research in Italy.
JULIAN VAYNE (UK)
Occultist and author of numerous books, essays, journals and articles in both the academic and esoteric press. Although his name is closely associated with Chaos Magic, Julian is also an initiated Wiccan, a member of the Kaula Nath lineage and a Master Freemason. His work is influenced by the postmodern style of Chaos Magic and lineages within Wicca and Uttarakaula Tantra. His interests include entheogenic substances and magic, permaculture and sustainability policies, teaching and graphic art. He is the author of the famous book "Getting Higher: The Manual of Psychedelic Ceremony" and has been sharing his practice for 30 years through public seminars and retreats. He is also co-organizer of the Breaking Convention (International Conference on Psychedelics), as well as a major contributor toΒ theblogofbaphomet.com, co-director of "The Psychedelic Museum", and curator of "The Friends of the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft".
