Our speech, focused on "The ways of the afterlife in the ancient world", is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 14:30. Among the many speakers, over the weekend will be Sebastiano Fusco, Claudio Bonvecchio, Stephen Skinner, Massimo Introvigne and Roberto Migliussi. In recent years, our study center has grown a lot, and this is thanks to you, and thanks to all the speakers, who have embraced our cause. The Occult Convention will be our annual event, where you can meet, listen to conferences, participate in workshops, laugh, joke, exchange opinions and get to know each other. The free researchers, occultists, wizards, witches who are part of our study center come from all over Italy, and remain connected mostly through the ether throughout the year. This will be the event where we can finally see each other after all this time that has kept us apart. THE MAZE OF THE MASONE BY FRANCO MARIA RICCI: THE LARGEST LABYRINTH IN EUROPE AND THE ART GALLERY
"I dreamed for the first time of building a Labyrinth about thirty years ago, during the period in which, on several occasions, I had a guest in my country house near Parma, a friend, as well as a very important collaborator of the publishing house I had founded: the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. The Labyrinth, as we know, has always been one of his favorite themes; and the trajectories that his hesitant blind steps drew around me made me think of the uncertainties of those who move between bifurcations and enigmas. " It is the largest existing labyrinth, composed entirely of bamboo plants (in total there are about 200 thousand), between 30 centimeters and 15 meters high, belonging to twenty different species. A path in which to enter and get lost, to fantasize and reflect. "Next to the Labyrinth there is a Museum (the entire collection of works of art that I have collected in fifty years), a Library (with my bibliophile collections and all the books I have published in 50 years), spaces for exhibitions temporary, an Archive, and tourist facilities that ensure, both to the International of the Cultured and Curious and to the local people, especially young people, hospitality and opportunities for recreation, information and inspiration, in the sign of Civilization and style. Arranged over five thousand square meters, eclectic and curious, the art collection reflects the taste of Franco Maria Ricci. The pieces are about five hundred and span five centuries of art history, from the sixteenth to the twentieth. They range from the great sculpture of the seventeenth century to the neoclassical one, to the busts of the Napoleon era, which are counterbalanced by the Vanitas, still lifes with skulls, often granguignolesque, sometimes the work of famous artists, such as Ligozzi.
