Description

ABSTRACT

The Via Antica collects the legacy of Animism in Europe, treading unedited paths and roads forgotten by academic studies of the last century. Starting from the numerous historical sources available, this essay traces a network of comparisons and connections that ideally unite the icy fjords with the boundless plains of Asia Minor to reach the peaks of the sacred mountains, home of the ancient gods. The style used by the author will allow from the very first pages to travel to places of the mind and beyond, to discover a distant but still alive and vibrant past, of the Soul of the World and its intermediaries. The discussion will not fail to arouse philosophical but also practical stimuli, useful for living Animism today. The underlying theme is that of the archaic European tradition, in particular the Nordic-Scandinavian one, populated by heroes and divinities who are one with the forces of nature of which man is the son and guardian.

ALEX THE GLASS

Born in Turin in 1981. For a long time he practiced the esoteric sciences considered "traditional" as an exponent of important Italian and foreign initiatory circuits; an experience that he closed definitively by completely detaching himself from such forums. Currently, in addition to being a member of ACAV (Valsusinina Archaeological Cultural Association), he continues to explore the themes related to the European tradition, recalled to the ancestral roots of his ancestors. This Way allowed him to abandon the beliefs imposed by mass culture and by modern "spiritualistic" philosophies that he considers coercive and extraneous to the origins of the peoples of Europe and led him to publish Wotan's lineage (Psyche 2, 2021). His research today also takes tangible form in archaic wooden sculpture with the project Woodland Traditional Craft, through which he honors and honors the ancient gods of our continent.
