8/7/1822 - 8/7/2020: almost two centuries from the drowning of Percy Bysshe Shelley, whose figure immediately became admired and venerated by the most restless spirits. The Prometheus who steals fire to give it to men, found in the English poet a version at the extremes of high ideality, in the name of a radical social and spiritual renewal. An unrepeatable season, here told through little-known sides of ours and through the profound influence on personalities very distant from each other, such as d'Annunzio, Crowley and Carducci.

β€œThe Shining”: in the labyrinths of the psyche and time

From the careful analysis of Stephen King's novel (1977) and of the film counterpart by Stanley Kubrick (1980), readings emerge that we can define as "esoteric": the Overlook Hotel as a labyrinth / monster that swallows its occupants and as a space outside of time; the superimposition of the past with the present in a similar perspective to that of the so-called "Akashic memory"; the "shimmer" as a supernatural capacity to insert oneself into this flow outside of time and space; a conception of the United States of America as a single, huge Indian cemetery (and not only).

Blood has always been considered, in the history of ideas, the vector of a powerful magical force and the vehicle of a complex and varied symbolism, starting with the rock paintings dating back to the Paleolithic to reach the three "book" religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism), passing through the cosmogonic myths of ancient traditions (Babylonian, Hindu, Norse, etc.), obviously without neglecting its use in traditional oriental medicine and its sacrificial value within ceremonial practices.
