After Paula Giovetti e Massimo Centini, at this tour we will have the pleasure of hosting Paolo Dolzan, creator of the site and channel "The Tetanus of the Fifth Race", to discuss the myth of agartha e shambhala in the occult and alternate reality of the last century and a half.

ABSTRACT:

With the denominations of Agartha and Shambhala (and the like) it is customary to indicate a mythical city or lost kingdom, invisible to ordinary humanity first of all because it is located underground, and secondly because it is placed on a dimensional plane different from ours, to which it is allowed to access only to initiates who know how to find it. The invisible kingdom would be ruled by a "King of the World" to which all surface nations would respond in some way, and inhabited by a superhumanity now free from the bonds of matter. The legend, although it is found here and there in the ancient Indo-Buddhist oriental traditions and in the oral stories of the Mongol-Siberian area, was made known in the West from a series of esoteric and occult writings published starting from the second half of the nineteenth century.ย 

Gurdjieff and above all the Theosophists, starting from Blavatsky ("The Secret Doctrine", 1888), nourished the myth and placed it in the subsoil of the Gobi desert, affirming that the initiatory center in antediluvian times was on the surface, and lay above of an island in an inland sea. However, in other writings the mythical secret kingdom is located in the Himalayas, between Tibet, India and Nepal. In the first decades of the twentieth century, Alexandre Saint-Yves d'Alveydre ("India's Mission in Europe", 1910), the Polish Ferdynand Ossendowski ("Beasts, Men and Gods", 1922), Renรฉ Guรฉnon ("The King of the World ", 1927) and the Russian painter and explorer Nicholas Roerich (" Shambhala ", 1930).ย

The legend can even be found in fictional fiction, from Edward Bulwer-Lytton ("The Venture Race", 1871) to Willis George Emerson ("The Smoky God", 1908) and it is also interested in the opposite sides of the international war chessboard, from the Soviets to the Nazis, who looked for it in the highlands of Tibet with the expeditions of the Ahnenerbe department. But, names and geographical locations aside, the topos of the occult initiatory center (or rather, hidden at the end of its cycle) knows parallels throughout the traditional world, from Celts to Indians, from Chinese to Amerindians, and everywhere it is well rooted in perennial, albeit iridescent, super-reality of the Myth.


PAUL DOLZAN:

Paolo Dolzan (Mezzolombardo, 1974) is an artist trained in Venice, at the Academy of Fine Arts and in the cultural environment of the lagoon city of the late 90s. For over twenty years he has established numerous collaborative relationships with artists and intellectuals and conducts exhibitions at an international level (China, Japan, Russia, USA, Europe, Africa, etc.). In 2019 he represented Italy at the XIII International Biennial in Cairo (Egypt). Over the years he has developed projects with a social background, in contact with the realities of psychiatric and penitentiary institutions. His artistic training is flanked by a research path that ranges in various fields of the "unusual": esotericism, occultism, cryptozoology, archeology, anthropogenesis, shamanism. The results of his investigations are disclosed through the publication of articles and videos on the site and on the YouTube channel "The Tetanus of the Fifth Race".
