NYMPH IN LABYRINTH: EPIPHANIES OF A RUNNING DIVINITY

THE NINFA. Its elusive character emerges in this book from an excursus in which philosophical moments and poetic places follow one another. The mysterious and showy figure of him is reflected in the narrative trend of the text. Invasive and manic, attracted to the bottom, extremely mobile and incurable, it is perhaps possible to find a 'philosophy' of this little semi-divinity thanks to the Platonic concepts of life and movement, attributed to the anima mundi. Crossing the expanse of her successive female incarnations (Kore, Clizia, Arianna ...), a lyrical voice will inevitably rise - sung by Porfirio, Nietzsche, Warburg, Montale ... - which will eventually lead to a glimpse of the dramatic reciprocity between Nymph and Labyrinth: between solitude of the soul and place of transit and loss. Always inclined to the cosmic descent, this creature is now going through an unquestionable material decay; but, as the emblem of the demonic nymph, she still manages to constitute herself as an inaudible, immanent music of the spheres: the song and the very motion of the world.
