"THE NINTH DOOR"
(The Sulfur Society)
It presents:

“THE ANGEL OF THE ABYSS.
Apollo, Avalon, the Polar Myth and the Apocalypse "
by Marco Maculotti

What historical role, what vision of the world and conception of the cosmos did those whom the classical auctores defined as "Iatromanti", shamans and ecstatic adepts of the Hyperborean god Apollo, master of coincidentia oppositorum and inspirer of divine madness and the art of mantica?

Because in the imposing fresco of the Sistine Chapel depicting the Last Judgment Michelangelo painted, in the face of Christ-Judge, the features of the ancient Hellenic god of Light and Prophecy that St. John the Evangelist in the Book of Revelation defined the Angel of the Abyss ?

And finally, what does the End of Times have to do with Virgil's IV Eclogue, the Sibylline Oracles, the Sacred Line of San Michele and the countless legends about the Blessed Islands located at the extreme northern and western borders of the world, such as the Apollonian Hyperborea, Ogigia where the god Saturn awaits in a state of life-in-death the return of the Golden Age, the Hesperides and the invisible Avalon, the Isle of Apples where the Tuatha dé Danann, the lineage divine and "shining" of the Celtic tradition?

All this will be treated in this conference to present the first editorial work of Axis Mundi Edizioni. At the end of the intervention, as usual, there will be a space for your questions.
