We are proud to present you the fourth edition of our conference dedicated to Western Esotericism.
As you know, for years we have been offering conferences, seminars and courses conducted by qualified national and international researchers of various traditions. We have deliberately chosen a multidisciplinary and comparative approach among the many sapiential paths, in order not to fall into the easy refuge of fanaticism and self-referential closure, fatal defects and antithetical to any real path of knowledge.
Continuing therefore in our intention of cultural dissemination, we reached the ambitious goal a few years ago, of organizing a national conference dedicated to the vast and complex world of Western esotericism, to discover its noble fathers, often neglected or trivialized and to understand its origins and influences, in today's and past society.

SPEAKERS
Michael Olzi deals with the relationship between politics and the media, Digital Politics, social imaginaries and power, the dimension of violence in politics and gender theory, the relationship between politics, religions and the media and political myths of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Among his important publications is the curatorship (with volume contribution) – together with Andrea Germani, Federica Rauso and Maria Rosaria Vitale – of the volume Symbols and Myths in Liberal Democratic Political systems. Essays on Political Theory (Mimesis International, 2022), and the curatorship (with volume contribution) together with Roberto Revello of Religioni & Media (Mimesis, 2021). He is part of the Special Center for Sciences and Symbolics of Cultural Heritage of the University of Insubria (Varese-Como), he is organizational secretary of the international research network on Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance and Modern Philosophy, Forum for Advanced Studies Gaetano Massa (North Carolina-Rome), and is a member of the International Institute for Hermeneutics.
Marco Maculotti: Publisher and writer, he was born in Cremona in 1988 and graduated in Milan. He is the founder and director of "AXIS mundi", an online magazine of culture, anthropology of the sacred, history of religions, esotericism, folklore, fantastic literature. He has published in various journals of traditional and literary studies, both paper (“Atrium”, “Arthos”, “Studi Lovecraftiani”, “Zothique”, “Dimensione Cosmica”, “Il Corriere Metapolitico”), and digital. In March 2022 he published for Axis Mundi Edizioni the essay on the history of religions “L'Angelo dell'Abisso. Apollo, Avalon, the Polar Myth and the Apocalypse”. In February 2021, his first long essay was released for Mimesis, “Carcosa unveiled. Notes for an esoteric reading of True Detective", dedicated to the mysterious and mysterious aspects of the first season of the successful TV series by Nic Pizzolatto. Among his most important publications we point out the substantial short essays "The cult of fairies in Celtic countries: an eschatology of death and rebirth" (in "Arthos" n.29) and "Parallelisms between Dante's underworlds and the Indo-Buddhist tradition and shamanism of Asia” (on “Arthos” n.30). In the field of fantastic literature he has written seven editorial contributions on Arthur Machen and others on HP Lovecraft, MR James, Gustav Meyrink and Thomas Ligotti.
Sara Spini she has a doctorate in Educational Sciences and has been working for 18 years in the field of training for the empowerment of people throughout their lives. She is a trainer recognized by the MIUR in the field of the development of psychosocial and relational skills in the formal and informal educational field. You are involved in action research projects in collaboration with INDIRE. You begin your academic career in the historical-artistic area with the University of Siena, which allows you to promote young contemporary artists and work alongside established artists of the Nouveau Réalisme current. She graduated from the University of Florence with a thesis on female archetypes through history and religion, currently at the same university she is studying Pedagogy and adult education throughout her life. In the professional field she tries to connect the reconstruction and the use of divine archetypes in the training and pedagogical field, maintaining a strong focus on the female area. The historical and cultural roots to which she binds lead her in 2020 to start a research linked to the spirituality and divination practices of the Etruscan culture. The research field that you are developing is that of decoding ancient magical practices with a view to their reinterpretation in the contemporary sphere as practical elements useful for the formulation of a personal growth path.
Paul Raccanelli, born in 1979, with a humanistic and archaeological background, a professional in the financial sector, from a very young age he entered into the study and practice of esoteric disciplines. In the last 15 years, supported for a period by higher theology studies, he has mainly dealt with Martinism, Elect Cohen, Freemasonry, neo-Gnosticism, Christian esotericism and initiatory systems of the modern West, with an operational focus on ceremonial magic and on Christian theurgy.
Irene Zanier she is a professional astrologer and teacher of astrological techniques. She has been interested in astrological studies for over 20 years and has particularly valued the humanistic approach and depth psychology by presenting astrology as an introspective tool in the imaginal path of one's self, through the use of symbolic and imaginal language. She has deepened the study of jyotish Vedic astrology and the study of Hellenistic astrology, addressing the traditional doctrine and also opening herself to new possible languages such as the use of the Symbologies of the Goddesses through the use of the Asteroids. She takes care of the interviews and is dedicated to teaching the seminars of The Sun Astrology project, bringing male and female students to a profound moment of contact with themselves, not only therefore through theoretical dissemination, but also through a journey of relationship with the Self. She has edited and edits various editorial projects and is also involved in the astrological panorama in various sector associations in which, as a speaker, she brings astrological knowledge to the important mission of dissemination.
Silvana Zanon, a graduate in Medicine and Surgery since 2008, a specialist in hygiene and preventive medicine, is currently a medical director in the upper Padua area. “Partita Oscura” is her second published novel.
